ADMT uses the following general syntax from the command prompt:
admt Operation Parameters Subparameters
Each task has its own set of operations. The tasks correspond to wizards available in the GUI version of ADMT. The tasks available in ADMT and the purpose of each are:
- User: To migrate a single user or set of users.
- Group: To migrate a single group of set of groups.
- Computer: To migrate a single computer or set of computers.
- Security: To perform a security translation by replacing source object SIDs with target object SIDs.
- Service: To identify services within the domain running in the context of the Local System account.
- Report: To create reports for migration statistics.
